Boutique Photographer vs School Portraits [ Snohomish County Senior Photography ]

HELLO GORGEOUS People!

Lately I began to think of the importance and the difference of Boutique Photography and School Studio Pictures. I wanted to help you all with some great information on what to know for your up and coming Senior Portraits, whether you get them straight from your school or hire an outside boutique photographer or both, it is always best to know the difference.

Depending on where you live, there is probably at least two different ways to have your Senior Photos take.... A studio comes to your school and takes them or you have photos taken by the photographer of your choice, outside of school, and in some cases you do both.

Have you ever wondered what is the difference and why each are important?

Some high schools require everyone to have the same type photo taken for the yearbook. Which is why they bring in the studio and you go and have your photo taken just like everyone else. These photos are good for making the yearbook look uniform and classic.

Some high schools allow students to submit their own photos to the yearbook. This allows students to be creative and themselves.

But you DONT have to let your school dictate how you have your Senior Photos taken. Because, there is a THIRD option.....DO BOTH!

That way you can have the classic, traditional yearbook photo and a photo session outside of school that really showcases your personality, your style and who you are today.

Just take a look at the breakdown difference from a Boutique Photographer, like myself vs the School Portrait Studio!

So think about what is best for you and what you will look back on and remember the experience and what an amazing time you had during your big year and if your Senior Photos remind you of that.
