What To Wear { SENIORS }

Greetings everyone!

So with all of the Seniors this year and our new up and coming Reps soon for 2013....I thought I'd start given some examples and tips for wardrobe ideas and helpful hints on what to wear!

Its always great to be YOU with your wardrobe. That is the most important thing! If you love converse and shorts, than bust 'em out Or love heels and a cute sun dress....than bring it on girls! We want to capture YOU with inspiration of fashion and a little bit of that vintage love!

Below is just something fun for a two outfit wardrobe. One more casual than the other, both having accessories!! And a Texture Sweater...LOVE! Anyway, of corse my mind would work with CREAM, YELLOW AND TEAL haha but just so you can get the idea!

If you would like to set up your Senior Portraits, than contact us today!

The Next Level {Orange County Portrait Photographer}

Hello all of my dear friends!!!

I know I havent posted anything in like forever; but we have a few changes coming to Sparrow Memories Photography. There have been alot of amazing things happening and ideas fluttering around like a butterfly meadow! lol Anyway, all in good time.....I just had to post because I wanted to share some things on my heart of my photography and all that goodness.

Lately, Ive had like a processing identity crisis! lol (processing=edits) hehe. Ive hit this wall in my photography that Im so happy with my final images I shoot; but I feel that the processing part, I'm just not happy with anymore.

Vic, my husband, is always joking with me saying that I am always thinking of ways to better myself, thinking of ways to better my photography and Sparrow Memories. So with that I am so excited to announce that I am going to be taking my first EVER WORKSHOP! Its all online and its with the AMAZING AMANDA HOLLOWAY! Not only is she one of my personal top favorite Senior Portrait Photographers; but her work is absolutely AH-MAY-ZEEN!

She was offering a few seats in workshops for April, May and June....By the time I was signing up Apr and May were completely sold out! lol. So, I was able to grab one of the last 3 seats in the June Workshop. YAY FOR ME! lol

I cannot wait to be able to experience this new avenue of adventures. My goal is not BE the best; but to be MY best. Because if I'm at MY best I can provide all of YOU amazing clients with amazing portraits! Its time to take myself, my photography and my art to the next level! Taking this workshop is not the start; its all apart of this great adventure!!!

Thanks everyone and I cannot wait!!

THE Wedding { Lawndale Ca Wedding Photographer }

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Well, just a little bit from the wedding I shot yesterday.....it was my baby cousin! You know, some peeps arent too close with their cousins, or sometimes they just live really far apart from each other, but that isnt the case the with Rocky, The Bride, and Nene, The Photography (yes, my family has called me NENE from the beginning of my time.....and no...I am NOTHING like The Nene from Housewives of Atlanta)..>anyway lol

I just wanted to put up a little post about the big day. My Rocky was beautiful! I did have a moment where Im snapping away with my camera and than it hits me....All the memories of being 4 and 6 years old, The Christmas Eves telling each other what we got them, the little cousin fights POPO-SEENO, Barbies, Baby Sitting, Playing piano together, calling her to ask her to be my maid of honor because I just got propsed to, all those things filled my mind and I just choked up....Shes married and to be apart of the background was very nice, all of her friends looked beautiful and she was simply stunning. Apart of me wished that I was there with her but in my best avenue I was...Behind the camera...I dont think I would trust anyone else to do this job lol and in a funny way, thats how I feel about all of my brides....BACK OFF FAUX-TOGS, These are MY BRIDES and Sparrows take care of them!

Heres a little picture of her beautiful bouquet. There is a very important family heirloom that every woman in our family has had in her wedding, it was in OUR Nanie's (our grandma), our aunt's, our cousins, my mom and mine....now it was Rocky's turn. Its our great- great-grandma's handkerchief and our great-grandma's pearls (the pearls arent shown since they were on the bride's wrist).
So, here is a little piece of our family heritage in the physical. From one amazing woman of God to the next, now it's Rocky's turn.

Roo Roo Head, I will always love you and will always be there for you. Underneath everything you are more than a sister to me than anything else. However and whenever and whoever AND WHATEVER lol...I will always, with everything and every part of me be here for you.....Love you Padasi!

Equestrian Session: Taylor & Lucy {Orange County Equestrian Portrait Photographer}

Hello, Hello, Hello

Oh how I have waited to blog this session! I could NOT wait! YAY!!! Its our Equestrian Session that was inspired by a little bit of fashion style, vintage flare, bohemian accents and two gorgeous models! Taylor and LUCY! lol.

I did Taylor's Senior Portraits back a few years ago and I knew she was the perfect person for our Styled Session! Not only is she beautiful but she RIDES too! LOVE IT! So we got together and saddled Lucy up and got some amazing shots! (yes, I know Taylor rode bare back haha). Even though there was a little horse flu goin' around, we werent quite able to take the lovely Lucy off the the stable grounds, we still had a wonderful time and got some amazing shots! I do have to say that this was one of my favorite session to date....actually they all have a place in my heart but I just love HORSES hahaha...anyway...

The day started a bit early, me and my favy besty assistant friend, Corinne, saddled up the truck and headed out to Coto to meet up with Mariah and Taylor. Mariah Mancha is sooo amazing...not only did she do Taylor's make up, but she did all of the STYLING! The Hair, the Clothes....ROCKIN TOTALLY ROCKIN IT! We had some amazing tips from the gorgeous Yvonne Wink, who is a fantastic Hairstylist and Mariah's MOM of all things hehe! If you're in the Coto de Caza region...check her out...She is amazing!

We than headed out to the stables and dolled up our lovely Lucy with ribbons and feathers. I just cant tell you how fun this session was! Sunsets, Fields, Horses and a beautiful model.....I think I was in Photographer Heaven lol.

I want to say a few special Thank Yous...First the The Wonderful Taylor, Thank you so much I had a wonderful time! To Lucy, her owners and to the staff of the Coto Stables! THANK YOU!

Mariah, the make up and hair was perfect! THANK YOU!

Secret Sparrow's Winner {Whittier CA Family Photographer}

Good Evening everyone!

Well,, the Holidays just flew by and New Year's just sprang up on us.....Here is a quick little post about our Secret Sparrow's winner....

The wonderful Sara sent in her nomination for her friend, Anoinette. I was truly truly touched and brought to tears by their story. Not only is Antoinette an amazing person, she and her husband provide for their 4 children in a small apartment. Their story truly was touching as they battled with losing their house to a fire with all of their belongings and not to mention all of their MEMORIES and PHOTOS.....the tear jerker was they even lost their family doggy.

I was so blessed when I called Antoinette to inform her of their winnings, she was so excited and she started to tear up....I STARTED to cry when we talked about the loss of their family pet...It was such an experience to be able to bless this family.

When the day came to finally meet up with them, we were all excited to meet face to face and when they showed up...I was just to thrilled.

We totally got some wonderful shots and her baby girl is GORGEOUS! Those boys HILARIOUS and the love that Antoinette and her hubby have is something! I was truly blessed I was able to start them off with NEW memories.

Antoinette, Garcias.....THANK YOU, Thank you from the bottom of my heart to be able to give you NEW memories, to help with the NEW path...ITs a NEW YEAR and I know The LORD has many secrets to brighten your day! Thank you for allowing me this amazing opportunity in capturing you and your family! THANK YOU and Happy New Year!

Special Thanks to the amazing and beautiful "SARA!" xoxoxo
