Hoity Toity Fashion Boutique Part I : Amanda Mae Photography Fashion Photographer

Im so excited to be able to share with you all part ONE of our amazing Fashion Shoot with the amazing HOITY TOITY Boutique!  Hoity Toity is an amazing fashion boutique that specializes in designer brands, jeans and more all catered to women of any and all ages.

We connected through a common customer/client, Ms. Sammi Olsen and her lovely mom Cindy. I am so excited because, seriously, just a little over a year ago I had moved here from Cali and googled boutiques in my county and Hoity Toity was the first I had found. Not only did I fall in love with their style and fashion, I also secretly wished/dreamed/prayed that some day I would be working with them.....well, the door of opportunity flew open and through some amazing-ness, me and HT totally connected!

We had just a little of a week to collaborate, plan, prepare and set up for our Back To School Shoot for Hoity Toity's Fall Collection and OMG...let me tell you...like SERIOUSLY, some amazing stuff!

We paired up our AMP Models and the HT Staff and met on a hot and sticky August evening. Our girls and models were so awesome at not complaining about the heat while wearing sweaters, boots, jeans and more. The shoot couldnt have been perfect and I am so proud of our AMP Models for being so professional and reping AMP to the fullest!

Hoity Toity currently has their Fall Line out and ready to go! I have been there TWICE this week and picked up several things already haha and Im DYING like DYING to wear them already....I just have to wait till the fall lol.

I want to say thank you to Hoity Toity for an amazing shoot, for collaborating and giving me this amazing opportunity! I cannot wait for our future shoots and for dinner at Bob's! ;) wink wink. To the HT Staff, you ladies are awesome and are super pros at your modeling and fiercely working it!

To Cindy and Sammi, ladies thank you for the connection and for your always "bragging" about both AMP and Hoity Toity!

Lastly, to my amazing AMP Models....Im so PROUD of you! You ladies rocked it and carried yourselves to the AMP Standard and I totally love that!!

STYLES : Bohemian Chic

Hey everyone!

Its been like forever since I posted a Style Idea and Tips, but I was so inspired by this fun little quiz I did that I had to just share my apparently personal style lol.

I took a fun quiz that just asks silly little questions that helps to identify your style and apparently mine said this :

So, I just played around with some fun spring colors, since in celebration of it being on it's way. I love coral and I love teal and according to my quiz lol it said I love patterns too and I guess I do! lol.

Bring your own personal style to your shoot by incorporating your favorite things in your wardrobe! Weather its a sentimental keepsake or a fun scarf you got when you were down in Guatemala ;), you can be sure adding you to your style and your portraits is fun, super cute and will totally add such a dimension to your pics!

Fashion Friday : Country Strong [ SNOHOMISH COUNTY SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHY ]

Happy Friday!

I do have to say that this Friday totally took me by surprise. I sware I skipped a day this week or something lol.

So, this week's Fashion Friday is about my Country GIRLS...YEEHAAA!

For my Country Girls out there, wanted to inspire you all that you can totally bring your Country Style into your Senior Portraits. Mixing patterns, accesories and of course BOOTS and with the right setting you will look COUNTRY STRONG-FABOULOUS! (ok, that was a little cheesy haha but hey...you can totally rock this!)

Pair a cute summer dress with some cowgirl boots and a jean jacket. Try a boyfriend sweater with a bright colored tank and some riding boots, I added in a little "feather" accesories there....why not channel that inner westerner right?!

Also cant talk about Country without a COWGIRL HAT! My mom has tons of these and I sware she gets a new one every year for Stage Coach and The River! Anyway, pair it with a cute printed tee and even a bright short with a short boot...feeling a little more countri-fied, slap on a jean vest!

My personal favorite, a Cream top (ofcorse lol), with a color pant, MINT, and dark accessories. Such a great contrast and those BOOTS..GORGEOUS in the fields!!!

Whatever your style, you can totally bring it and apply it to your Senior Portraits! Get on the wagon girls, its time for some amazing senior portraits.....get your experience today...YEEEEHAAAAAW!

Fashion Friday : Leopard Love [ Fashion Senior Photography Amanda Mae Photography ]

Hey everyone!!

So, I know last week I didn't get to post our weekly Fashion Friday. In cali takin' care of things and doing a few out of state Shoots. Anyway....We are back and the trip was great but I really am glad and happy to be home! Even though the weather has been pretty hot for WA haha.

With this week's Fashion Friday I thought about focusing on a color, a print or something and than I remembered my gorgeous Leopard Pumps I had owned many moons ago before Mommy-Hood.

Leopard Love! I love how you can total incorporate this gorgeous and versatile print. You can add it in a dress pattern, like the High/Low dress below, or even in some jewelry like those bangles and add some red lips!!! Pair it with a black legging or jean with a gorgeous top.

One of my personal favorites, hence the heels, is to go with an all black outfit, making sure you work with your silloehtte. Black leggings and a black simple top. Add some of those gorgeous Leopard Heels and a statement necklace...and its total fab gorgeous!!

What about going the LITERAL term lol. With an actual leopard on your top. Just make sure its not an actual logo or so and keep your fashion in mind. I love the actual leopard printed on a cream tan shirt. I'd love to put it with some colored jeans for a pop and even a cool cuff, add some color in your earrings, the overall effect will look so cool in your final portraits.

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Hope everyone's week went well. As always mine just flies by and before I know it.....its the weekend! Im not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing lol...Anyway, lets get down to business...

 Its great to have a variety of colors, but today we are focusing on one of my personal favorites....Cream/Ivory. Ever look in your closet and see a MASS SLEW of ONE COLOR??..umm yea that would be me with this color. Most of you know who have shot with me know that I LOVE this color. They ask, "what should I.." and before they can finish the sentence Im preaching "CREAM!" haha. lol.

I love this color because you can pair it with almost anything! Jeans, Blazers even those gorgeous High-Low Skirts that are so hot right now.....plus they look amazing in portraits! Be sure and work with in the basics of color tones, textures and accessories.

I love the fact that you can even add it to other colors like coral, teal, even black. To me it just adds an overall gorgeous tone, plus it makes me feel pretty....dont we all like that???

Fashion Friday: Seeing Stripes

HELLO GORGEOUS's !

Well happy Friday everyone!! I can't believe how fast this week went by, with all of the scary thunderstorms and lightening this week, its been an eventful one! 

Well, its FRIDAY and you know what that means....FASHION FRIDAY! This weeks its all about STRIPES! I love how Stripes can add such a pop to your images!

I say try them in fun ways, in a fitted cardigan, a tee synched with a tiny belt or my fav a tank with a blazer! Pair your stripes with a great pop of color, like COBALT or red! Even try and add some amazing RED LIPS to spark everything up!  Add a great shoe with some wild accessories and your outfit of stripes will have your images screaming HELLOOOOOOO GORGEOUS!

Fashion Friday : The Basics

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Here is are some basic Fashion Tips to help celebrate the END OF THE WEEK!!!

When it comes to your outfits of choice sometimes it can seem overwhelming; but who doesn't love a good excuse to go shopping!!

A few things to remember when out shopping for those perfect outfits!

• Color Cominations
• Textures
• Accessories (hats and scarfs too!)
• Shoes

Color Combinations
Think about combining colors that compliment each other or fall in the same "shade" family. My personal favorites are creams, tans and MUSTARD YELLOW! Of corse use your ideas and what you feel prettiest in and what speak you the most.

Textures
When adding texture to your wardrobe it can be in a variety of things. Such as a knitted scarf, fringe on boots or a jacket and even a wool type sweater. All can add an element of texture to your portraits that can help enhance your images!

Accessories
This is my favorite part! Adding a massive amount of bangles and a chain necklace can take your outfits to a higher level. I personally say you can NEVER have too many accessories! Rings, bangles, statement necklaces and earrings are such a great way to bring a cute little spice to your portraits! Don't forget a headband or belt!! Love!

Shoes
Shoes. Shoes. Shoes. Where do I begin?! When I travel, I believe I have to have a bag JUST for my shoes...theres just to many. When shopping for shoes, try to mostly stay with heels. But if you're that casual fashionista, than rock those TOMs girl! Simply put, think about where your Shoot Location will be. Fields? Than maybe a great pair of boots. Urban? Thank maybe those fantastic stiletto heels! Overall you want your shoes to compliment your outfits!

What To Wear { SENIORS }

Greetings everyone!

So with all of the Seniors this year and our new up and coming Reps soon for 2013....I thought I'd start given some examples and tips for wardrobe ideas and helpful hints on what to wear!

Its always great to be YOU with your wardrobe. That is the most important thing! If you love converse and shorts, than bust 'em out Or love heels and a cute sun dress....than bring it on girls! We want to capture YOU with inspiration of fashion and a little bit of that vintage love!

Below is just something fun for a two outfit wardrobe. One more casual than the other, both having accessories!! And a Texture Sweater...LOVE! Anyway, of corse my mind would work with CREAM, YELLOW AND TEAL haha but just so you can get the idea!

What To Wear} SENIORS

Good Evening All!!!

I know that when preparing for your Portrait Session we tend to get thrilled and excited than comes the big question "OMG! WHAT AM I GANNA WEAR!?!" I wanted to give a few examples and inspire ideas for your upcoming Portrait Sessions.

I do recommend to keep with in similar color tones that compliment each other. Texture, patterns, color GALOR and ACCESSORIES are always a plus! Dont forgot some hot heels and my personal favorite....BOOTS! I would recommend getting your hair and make up professionally done....it really really helps enhance your images and makes us gals feel totally special!!!

Since we have been booking Senior Sessions recently, I've decided to start off with a Senior What To Wear inspiration board! All products, shoes and accessories can be found at all your favorite stores! So Seniors, Ladies and lads lol take a gander, get inspired and enjoy!
